THE AFTER SCHOOL SERIES 001

MY FIRST NOVA COLLECTION

Hi, I'm Rex. I'm 9 and I started Nova.

I like football, basketball, gaming, drawing and being with my friends. I also really like coming up with ideas and I wanted to make my own brand, so that's how Nova started.

My mum has Lóma and I thought it would be cool if I could make my own designs too, but I wanted mine to be different and things that me and my friends would actually wear.

So I made Nova.

WHY NOVA?

I wanted Nova to be for all different kids.

You don't have to be really good at football or sport or anything to be part of it. You can like gaming, drawing, basketball, football or just hanging out with your friends.

I wanted it to look cool and work for my age kids.

My favourite colours are black, white and blue, so I wanted to use those for Nova too.

And I really like the Nova logo because it looks fun and not perfect.

NOVA 001 — THE CLUB

My first drop is called 001 — The Club.

It's called 001 because it's the first one and then I can make 002 and 003 and loads more.

I chose The Club because I wanted Nova to feel like something you could be part of.

Anyone can be in Nova Club.

You don't have to win anything or be picked for anything.

If you want to be in it, you're in it.

MAKING MY FIRST DESIGN

The main design has NOVA CLUB really big on the back.

It also says:

BIG IDEAS START SMALL.

I like that because Nova started as just an idea and now we've actually made the clothes.

I wanted the front to be quite simple with a little Nova Club logo and then when you turn around there is a massive design on the back.

We made T-shirts and hoodies in Anthracite, Teal and Bright Blue.

I think Anthracite is my favourite because It goes with so many outfits.

We also made matching Nova bottles because I wanted things in the drop that weren't just clothes and I also like buying new bottles.

LIMITED 001

We made one more version that is different.

It's black with two different blues on the Nova design.

This one is LIMITED 001, so we're not going to keep making it forever.

I wanted a black one because it feels sporty and casual and can be worn with anything.

My favourite thing about the Limited 001 design is the big back print.

MY 001 RATINGS

Now I have to rate everything.

001 Hoodie: 10 /10

001 T-shirt: 10 /10

001 Bottle: 10 /10

Anthracite: 9 /10

Teal: 8.5 /10

Bright Blue:8 /10

LIMITED 001: 10 /10

If I could only keep one thing from the whole drop, I'd choose:

The limited hoody

because

its good for the winter and I like the design.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Now I need to make NOVA 002.

I've already got some ideas but I'm not telling you what it is yet.

My clue is:

Kids do it all the time

And one day I really want Nova to make:

Trousers and bags
